Fear for Coming to God

Fear for Coming to God

When we come to God, let us be honest with ourselves. Let’s give God the honor and glory He deserves. He is everywhere, omnipotent, omnipresent, inside time, outside time. Inside creation outside creation! He saw your past and your future. He saw the begining, and the end, before He started creating it. Wow.

So let’s just stand in that thought for a second. Most of us are frightened by an all seeing, all knowing God. Because we fear of letting Him down, breaking a commandment, not following His will, choosing the wrong thing. And I tell you, I am no different. I too have my fears of not doing what i’m supposed to do. Before you know it, my concience starts barking at me. And that can be so tiring. When will this stop!

But let me tell you something. Lets slowly walk back what I wrote down in the first paragraph. We have an all-knowing, all-seeing God, who saw us all before He made us, our treapasses, our faillures, our sins, our shortcomings, our faults and ‘crimes’ even. He knew them all, all of them. He could just as well not start creation anyway… But He did create everything. He didn’t prevent sin from enterering in the world, He didn’t stop us in our tracks. Why? Why did God not just stop sin when He is so omnipotent?

Here is how the Love of God is revealed. The enticing verse known as John3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬ KJV)

Oke let me get this straight.. So God knew I was going to commit adultery, fornication, blasphemy.. even murder! And He still loved me? The answer to that is a full, unambigous, infinite, 100% YES! God knew you were going to lack in pleasing Him. He knew you were going to fall for that tempting moment. For that urge to call people names, and condemning them for not doing what, ‘in your eyes’, seems right. And what did He do? Did he prevent you from being born? Did He leave you to remain in your state of unkowing, unloved, uneducated, unbelieving condition? Or.. did He send His ONLY, Begotten and Beloved Son.. to die for YOUR sins? I think He did, didn’t He?

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.” (‭1 John‬ ‭4‬:‭9‬ KJV)

Wauw, so the all powerful, all knowing God, sent His Son to take your place in death. So someone Paid your Debt to the Judge! You are set free from your sins. Really? Oh Yes really! And your debt was not paid with filthy money, or by sinful hands. No, your debt was paid with the pure blood of an innocent Man, the Son of Man!

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,” (‭1 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭18-20‬ KJV)

Isn’t that just amazing! Now let me take it further for you. When You walk in your days on the earth, with full knowledge of the Son, the Father, the Holy Spirit. When you walk in His commandments, and fully aware of what He asked of us to do, and still you find yourself at the point of not doing it, sinning even. What is to happen to you!! How could you fail God like this! The answer again is simple.

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.” (‭1 John‬ ‭1‬:‭8-10‬ KJV)

We all sin, even after baptism, Holy Spirit anointing.. We are still humans. And humans make mistakes beloved of God. So Just as God, the Almighty Judge, forgave you BEFORE He sent you His Son (otherwise He wouldn’t send Jesus Christ), know and forgive yourself for sinning. I plead to you, stop worrying about your sins. You confess them, believe that they are forgiven! If you have a courtroom case aimed at you and someone steps in and pays your dept, the judge says you are free of ALL CHARGES. So will you then not believe it? Or do you want it on paper? As proof of your forgiveness?

If so, then pickup your Bible and open to ‘1 John‬ ‭1‬:‭9‬’. Print that one out and say ‘Here is my written proof that God forgave me! Bacause I congfess my sins!’ So be sure to confess your sins and KNOW that you are forgiven. And as you read this, I pray the Holy Spirit may allow you to Hear God the Father say: ‘My Child, You are Forgiven’.

In the next message we will look at your assignments in the Lord
